Citizen Rebates - Property Tax Rebate for Seniors

Administered by Access Nova Scotia on behalf of the Department of Community Services, The citizen rebates program is designed to help eligible seniors remain in their homes by providing them with an annual rebate on their municipal property taxes.

The program provides eligible homeowners with a 50% rebate on the municipal property taxes paid the previous year, up to a maximum of $400.00 per year.
The rebate is always based on the property taxes paid in the previous year.
